Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of kitchen preparation experience.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Refer to a daily prep list at start of shift for assigned duties.
• Prepare a variety of food using equipment, including setup and break down.
• Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Portion food according to standard sizes and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and equipment.
• Close kitchen following closing checklist.
• Report equipment and food quality issues to the chef.
• Inform chef immediately of product shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the chef.
