Located in the Naval Academy's NABSD Retail Dining and Hospitality, this position requires experience in culinary duties and proper storage practices, with ServSafe certification

Qualifications

• Experience performing culinary duties that enable line cook work and related tasks.
• Knowledge of and experience using common food service equipment.
• Experience with proper storage techniques like FIFO; ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Ability to follow kitchen procedures and standardized recipes.
• Experience as a short order, banquet cook, and/or prep cook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and portioning standards.
• Assist in preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of workstation and equipment.
• Inspect goods for freshness and stock rotation; ensure proper food handling.
• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as required.
