Job summary

Greenwich Hospitality Group is seeking line cooks and prep cooks to join LA PLAGE Westport in Westport, CT. The Cook will prepare items per recipes and standards, maintain cleanliness, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, labeling and rotating stock, and collaborating with front-of-house staff. Full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions available; benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and consistency.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen area.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Participate in opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties as assigned.
