Job summary

Marriott El Paso is seeking a cook to accurately and efficiently prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot dishes. You will also plate, garnish, and portion foods while maintaining high quality and sanitary workstations.

The role involves rotating schedules including weekends/holidays and can be full-time or part-time, with responsibilities spanning prep, cooking, and dishwashing under the guidance of the Chef.

Qualifications

• Five years of culinary experience preferred.
• Willing to work rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Open to full-time or part-time role.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, and other food items for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for the quality of products served.
• Maintains standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food at line stations.
• Presents plates with proper garnish and presentation.
• Handles, stores and rotates products properly.
• Performs dishwashing duties and supports the Chef as needed.
• Attends scheduled meetings and contributes improvement ideas.
