Job summary

Shaner Hotels' Carnegie House in State College, PA is seeking a dedicated line cook to join our boutique luxury kitchen team. You will plan, prep, and execute menu items for our guests, ensuring consistent presentation and flavor in line with our standards.

You will maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation across all cooking stations, support budget adherence where applicable, and collaborate with the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests at this 21-room

Qualifications

Proven experience as a line cook or relevant role.
High attention to detail and creativity.
Culinary and food safety certifications preferred.
In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Physical strength and stamina to spend long hours standing and performing repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.
Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
