Base pay range

$12.00/hr - $12.00/hr

Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the venue. The role involves direct contact with the public, such as slicing meats or preparing dishes to order. The Line Cook must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled based on business needs.

This role pays an hourly wage of $12.00 to $14.00.

About The Venue

This position is based at Regions Field in Birmingham, Alabama, offering family-friendly entertainment and attractions such as the Ascension St. Vincent's Youth Sports Zone, Callahan Eye Hospital Family Fun Park, and the Shipt Batting Cages.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for guests.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as part of a team with responsibilities related to food preparation, service, and delivery.
• Report any maintenance issues for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, garnish, and arrange food for presentation.
• Consult with the culinary team to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Maintain excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and knives.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Valid food handling certification if required by regulations.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
