Position: Line Cook

Duties:

  1. Provide quality, and genuine, hospitality in a timely manner
  2. Ensure that guest’s feel important and welcome in the restaurant
  3. Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
  4. Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of products served
  5. Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  6. Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  7. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment
  8. Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
  9. Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  10. Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  11. Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen
  12. Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  13. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  1. Passion for food and ensuring an excellent dining experience for all guests
  2. Energetic and genuine positive attitude while interacting with team members and all guests
  3. Experience in kitchen preparation and/or cooking
  4. Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and team members
  5. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 20+ pounds
  6. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 9 hours)
