Qualifications

• 1 year in Food Service as a line cook or similar role
• Proficiency in technology, writing, reading
• People skills: dealing with a team proactively, professionally, and positively
• Ownership: takes initiative and pride in business
• Food Handlers certificate within 30 days or Serv Safe equivalent
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, operate carts and hand trucks, stand long periods
• Detail-oriented, organized, safety-minded, trustworthy, efficient
• Indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure; kitchen and service areas

Responsibilities

• Manage all types of food and food products to prepare and present for dining customers
• Follow SOPs to prep/prepare hot and cold food to DOH and Cornbread standards
• Work with management to perform routine cleaning and upkeep of front and back of house
• Set up and break down stations throughout the kitchen and restaurant
• Rotate, label, and date products to minimize waste and spoilage
• Inform Chef on Duty of sub-par product before service starts
• Maintain kitchen equipment in clean working order; escalate issues
• Assist with inventory counts as requested
• Control and limit waste
• Practice safe and clean work habits
• Update knowledge and skills via staff training opportunities
