What You'll Do

1. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
2. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
3. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
4. Test foods to determine if they are cooked sufficiently, using tasting, smelling, or piercing methods.
5. Label and date all products to ensure rotation, safekeeping, and sanitation.
6. Maintain food quality and take corrective actions when necessary.
7. Ensure proper presentation to maximize appeal and freshness.
8. Maintain production knowledge and attention to taste and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two-year certificate from an accredited culinary program or minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.

Additional Requirements

• Availability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights.
• Physical ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, lift at least 25 lbs., and perform various physical tasks.
• Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke on the gaming floor.
