Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Cook for the JW Marriott Reston Station, a premier luxury hotel located in Reston, VA. Join a high‑end kitchen team delivering exceptional guest experiences in a 28‑story landmark with ample meeting spaces and access to the metro’s Silver Line.

Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, be team players, and capable of exacting food preparation while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self‑starting personality with an even disposition.
• Must be a team player and willing to help co‑workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, avoiding over preparation.
• Date all food containers and rotate per Crescent standards; keep perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup; keep buffet stocked.
• Return unused food items to designated storage areas and cover/date perishables.
• Assist in planning actions to control food cost, waste, and usage per Crescent standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, oven, and slicer.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
