Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook to join the kitchen team at Applebee’s in Spearfish, South Dakota. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing menu items, maintaining our high standards for product presentation, and practicing safe food handling.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is eager to learn and grow. The position requires mobility for the entire shift and the ability to lift and transport items as necessary.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Able to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves.
• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transport cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling.
• Clean and sanitize the work area.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
