Marriott Memphis East in Memphis, TN is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare all menu items according to recipes, set up stations with the required mise en place, and assist other line cooks to ensure smooth service throughout the shift.

You must be able to work at all stations on the line, demonstrate strong work ethic and initiative, and adapt to varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience as a Line Cook at a hotel/resort or restaurant.
• Ability to work all stations on the line.
• High work ethic and self-initiative
• May be required to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Someone who enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our Guests!

Responsibilities

• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Set up work stations with mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies; break down and close stations at day end.
• Review assignments and anticipated business levels with the Sous Chef/Station Cook I.
• Start prep work for the menu of the day and assist Line Cooks on the shift.
• Maintain proper storage procedures and follow health department guidelines.
