Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a well-rounded Cook I for the Nectar/Saltbreeze outlets. You will be an integral part of a high-volume culinary team, supporting cooks and contributing to distinctive, guest-focused dining experiences.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will prepare and plate meals according to recipes, maintain station readiness, and help train new staff while observing safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years related work experience in culinary/kitchen operations.
• Technical, trade or vocational school degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Assist with stocking and setting up each station.
• Train new staff in preparation methods.
• Uphold five-star service standards and smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food safety practices.
• Read recipes and follow quality standards and checklists.
