Job summary

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa is seeking a kitchen cook to create daily specials and prepare complex entrees. You will handle soups, sandwiches, and entrees of medium complexity, following recipes and portion controls in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include grilling, sautéing, knife work, and assisting with training junior cooks, while maintaining sanitary and organized walk-in coolers and storage areas. Flexibility to work various shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Skill in professional cooking and knife handling.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Ability to work with staff and guests effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Create and execute daily specials.
• Prepare dishes via grilling, cooking and sautéing.
• Read food order tickets in English and follow recipes precisely.
• Restock items and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
• Assist training of Cook II and Cook III team members.
