Job summary

Limelight Hotels is seeking a Cook I to join our on-site kitchen teams across northern United States properties. You will prepare and cook dishes per recipes, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and assist with inventory control under the guidance of the Chef de Cuisine.

The ideal candidate has a culinary background with 3 years of experience and ServSafe or similar certification preferred. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for success in our energetic kitchen

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years of food preparation experience required.
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes.
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment following sanitation and food safety standards.
• Assist with managing kitchen inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and perform basic maintenance and cleaning as needed.
• Ensure accurate portion sizes and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
• Safely operate and train others on the operation of various kitchen equipment.
• Work closely with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operation and effective communication during food service.
• Follow safety and health regulations including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
