Amentum is seeking a Line Cook I located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia.

The Line Cook assists in preparing food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are responsible for preparing quality food with pleasing presentation, meeting food handling and quality standards, and providing excellent service in support of the company's mission, core values, standards, and goals.

Job Requirements:
  • Greet and interact with guests warmly and genuinely
  • Prepare all food items as directed
  • Wash dishes, glassware, and silverware
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays
  • Maintain a clean and organized pantry and coolers
  • Clean countertops, walls, and mop floors
  • Segregate and remove trash and recyclables, and empty garbage containers regularly
  • Rinse and wash garbage cans
  • Sort bottles, plastics, and other recyclables
  • Stack clean dishes and transfer equipment to storage
  • Follow recipes and properly prepare and present all food items, accommodating special requests
  • Communicate needs for goods to kitchen leadership
  • Set up hot and cold line stations according to specifications
  • Communicate guest requests promptly and professionally
  • Read, understand, and produce orders efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items
  • Keep work areas clean and adhere to sanitation standards
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Follow safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • Attend training and meetings as required
  • Perform cross-training and other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • US or Naturalized Citizen
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training in Hospitality/Restaurant Industry
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in luxury markets (preferred)
  • Team player
  • Detail-oriented and capable of completing tasks thoroughly
  • Valid government-issued clearance at application time
