Job summary

Hard Rock Cafe Foxwoods is seeking a part-time line cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare and cook menu items to spec while maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to safety standards.

You will read order tickets or Kitchen Display System orders, label and store prep items properly, and assist with opening/closing duties and special prep for large groups. Prior kitchen experience is helpful for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or in a fast-paced kitchen is beneficial.
• Ability to read order tickets and follow specifications.
• Knowledge of proper labeling, dating, and food storage.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to specifications.
• Receive and order products as needed.
• Label, date, cover and refrigerate prep items for the line.
• Perform opening/closing and side duties: setup, stocking, breakdown of kitchen areas.
• Maintain clean, organized kitchen, line, expo, dish room and back dock.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards and keep a sense of urgency.
• Read orders from tickets or Kitchen Display System accurately.
• Assemble orders and verify product quality and specs.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and assist with special prep and large groups.
