Job description

Chef Andrew Carmellini's team is looking for friendly, hard-working LINE COOK candidates eager to learn in an energetic downtown environment at LAFAYETTE Grand Café & Bakery in NoHo.

About LAFAYETTE

LAFAYETTE is an everyday grand café and bakery celebrating French cooking at the corner of Lafayette Street and Great Jones Street in downtown Manhattan. Our market-driven bistro menu is a worldly homage to regions from Provence to Normandy and the Mediterranean coasts, offering a re-mastery of traditional dishes and signature creations.

Ideal Candidates
  1. Have excellent knife skills
  2. Have knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  3. Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
  4. Are able to lift 25 lbs or more
  5. Prepare and execute key components of dishes
  6. Ensure quality and accuracy of products and dishes
  7. Support their fellow cooks
