Kimpton Fort Lauderdale Beach, part of HEI Hotels and Resorts, seeks a kitchen team member to prepare food to consistent quality and assist in daily kitchen operations. You will follow recipes, manage mise en place, and maintain clean, safe workstations.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to quality standards following recipes and portion sizes.
• Start prep items to meet anticipated demand and avoid over-preparing.
• Rotate perishables and maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars and plan preparation and storage.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and clean.
• Assist in controlling food costs and waste per standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely.
• Attend as required and work regularly.
