Job summary

The Auburn Marriott Opelika Resort & Spa at Grand National is seeking a Line Cook to prepare, season, and cook diverse items for Restaurant outlets, Pastry Kitchen, or Banquet Kitchen under culinary supervision. You will maintain quality, cleanliness, and efficient service in a hotel setting.

You'll follow recipes, monitor temperatures, control waste, and support lead cooks and supervisors to ensure guest satisfaction and consistent dining experiences across venues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in line cook role or kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and health/safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all items according to recipes and directions provided by chefs.
• Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure high quality ingredients and correct recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure safe hot/cold holding.
• Assist with mise en place and line setup for service.
• Support lead cooks and culinary supervisors as needed.
• Foster teamwork and maintain efficient service during events.

Education

High School or better in HS Diploma/GED.
