Farmers Daughter is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will perform grilling, frying, sautéing, and hot hors d oeuvres preparation in a fast-paced, la carte setting.

We value organizaton, responsibility, positivity, and strong teamwork to ensure smooth service. Responsibilities include attending trainings, maintaining relationships with colleagues, following recipes and portion standards, keeping your station clean, and reporting any issues to the Sous Chef.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of previous experience or be a recent culinary school graduate.
• Must speak English and communicate clearly with managers and staff.
• Authorized to work in the United States and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Attends and participates in all training sessions and meetings.
• Develops positive working relationships and collaborates with team.
• Prepares line items and supports hot hors d oeuvres preparation.
• Follows standard house recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintains clean and organized workstation and proper food storage.

Schedule & Availability:

This position requires a five-day workweek. Candidates must have open availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, as well as both AM and PM shifts. Scheduling needs may vary based on business requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

Line Cook would be responsible for preparing food in our Farmers Daughter a La Carte kitchen which includes, but is not limited to Grilling, Frying, Sautéing and preparing hot hors d oeuvres. We are looking for candidates that are organized, responsible, have a positive demeanor, and are team players.

• Attends and participates in all training sessions and team meetings
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner
• Prepares all items required for line and special function purposes
• Carefully follows standard house recipes when preparing food
• Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
• Always maintains a clean and organized workstation
• Properly stores all food products in appropriate storage areas
• Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct
• Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management
• Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
• Cleans and locks up according to prescribed procedures
