Job Opening: Line Cook at Cooper's Hawk in Plainfield, IL

Position: Line Cook

The Cooper's Hawk Line Cook plays a vital role in our success, responsible for preparing and executing food in various stations including pantry, fry, grill, broil, and sauté. This role is essential in delivering a positive experience to our guests.

Compensation: $15 - $22 / Hr

  • What You'll Do:
    • Maintain quality standards by preparing recipes to specification
    • Follow recipes, manage portion control, and presentation standards
    • Set up and restock stations as needed
    • Use the KDS system effectively for managing cook times
    • Assist with cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas
    • Maintain equipment in excellent condition
    • Communicate professionally with Managers and Team Members
    • Follow operational checklists and procedures
    • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • What You'll Need:
    • Alignment with Cooper's Hawk Values
    • At least 18 years old
    • Minimum 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or similar environment
    • Team-oriented attitude
    • Professional cooking skills and knife proficiency with cut-glove
    • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
    • Ability to follow recipes and instructions clearly
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 10 hours
    • Comfort working in wet, hot, noisy conditions
    • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
    • Proficiency in English
