Job summary

Tupelo Honey - Gainesville is seeking a reliable kitchen team member to support the restaurant’s busy kitchen. You will assist in preparing meats, seafood, vegetables, and other items, while upholding portion sizes, recipes, and safety standards.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of kitchen experience, good communication skills with staff, and the ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Must communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room staff.
• Able to lift up to 40–50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute all directives from management during all shifts.
• Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking.
• Follow portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of all recipes.
• Keep a clean, sanitary work area across all kitchen stations.
• Follow plate presentation and garnish setup.
• Assist in off-peak prep and open/close duties with proper checklists.
