Job summary

Suburban Inns, located in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Cook for Big E's Sports Grill Downtown GR. You will prepare all food items per recipes, ensure kitchen cleanliness, and maintain compliance with health and safety standards to deliver 100% guest satisfaction.

The role requires weekend availability, dedication to high-energy service, and ServSafe/Allergen certifications. Starting wage is $18/hour, negotiable based on experience; both full-time and part-time positions are available with

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience preferred
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification required
• Allergen Certification preferred
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, positive manner and build connections
• Prepare all items according to make sheets/recipes and uphold standards
• Set up service units with needed items
• Serve items according to portions and presentation standards
• Notify Back of House Manager of shortages
• Keep work areas clean and sanitary
• Maintain prep cook station setup and cleanliness
• Follow opening/closing/cleaning checklists
• Adhere to local health and safety regulations
• Maintain health department logs
• Follow Suburban Inns processes
• Demonstrate reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as requested by management
