Buckingham Senior Living in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Cook (PRN) to prepare menu items per recipes, maintain high quality and presentation, and uphold food safety standards.

The role requires paying attention to resident preferences, participating in orientations, and interacting with the team to ensure smooth service. Starting wage is $18.00-$25.00 per hour with an as-needed shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
• Must possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
• Demonstrated leadership, training, and supervision skills.
• Proficient written and oral communication with management and staff.
• Must stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day.
• Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable around extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
• Work indoors primarily, with outside events as needed.
• Criminal background clearance is required.

• Prepare all menu items per established standards and recipes, delivering high-quality food.
• Ensure health protocols are followed, maintain proper hygiene and food temperatures.
