Job summary

Rubio’s Restaurant Group is seeking a Line 3/4 Cook to prepare and hold grilled, fried and heated items to Rubio’s quality standards. The role supports a clean, safe kitchen and emphasizes speed to meet Rubio’s service time goals.

As part of the back-of-house team, you’ll follow the CORE 10 guidelines, manage portion control, and assist with inventory while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience required; prior kitchen work preferred.
• Read tickets in English or Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and hold grilled, fried, and heated products; ensure proper dating and rotation.
• Manage portion control; restock grill/fryer area and follow cost controls.
• Read tickets and work quickly to meet service time standards.
• Keep kitchen and restaurant clean; maintain personal hygiene and dress code.
• Ensure food safety and health code compliance; use gloves and hairnets.
• Communicate effectively with BOH team for smooth operations.
