The Cliffs is seeking a line cook to join our culinary team. You will work with some of the region’s top chefs, growing your skills while contributing to high-quality service for luxury communities in the Carolinas.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a line cook.
• Culinary Arts degree and with experience with kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic tools, small wares, culinary techniques, and ingredients specialized to the location.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic food temperatures, proper food handling and good judgment of quantity, quality, and production.
• Showcases passion for the culinary arts, continual learning, and guest service.
• Able to follow recipes, make recipe conversions, adhere to food allergies, and propose menu items.
• Basic knife skills and butchering techniques.
• Exhibits clean work habits and ownership of a safe, clean work area.
• Able to assist completing weekly cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Willingness to maintain a neat professional appearance and always observe personal cleanliness rules.
• Assist with other duties as instructed by Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate dishes to specifications with consistency.
• Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure quality and cost targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the line and work area.
• Assist the Executive Chef or Sous Chef with additional duties as needed.
