Job description

Boka Restaurant Group, led by Top Chef/Iron Chef winner and James Beard Award-winning chef Stephanie Izard, is currently seeking Line Cooks to join the team at Girl & the Goat, located in the heart of Restaurant Row in the West Loop.

About Girl & the Goat: Chef Izard's culinary home after her Top Chef Season 4 win, Girl & the Goat is a lively 122-seat restaurant offering a family-style menu with global influences, bold flavors, and a selection of wines from around the world. It is one of the first establishments in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor, known for making guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Line Cook’s Responsibilities Include:
  1. Cooking dishes following recipes
  2. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
  3. Opening or closing the kitchen
  4. Upholding the standards of Stephanie Izard and Boka Restaurant Group
Qualifications:
  1. Hardworking
  2. Experience in a high-volume kitchen
  3. Food handlers' certification
  4. Flexible schedule

This position is ideal for individuals eager to gain knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, creative environment. We seek hardworking, enthusiastic, and eager-to-learn team members.

Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to lift 10-20 lbs if necessary
  2. Safe and effective use of all necessary tools and equipment
  3. Ability to stand and walk for an entire eight-hour shift, moving safely throughout the restaurant
