The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Line-Cook to work with our food and beverage team.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

As a line cook you will be responsiblefor stocking and setting of the station. Preparing food items by cutting,chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Cooking food items by grilling, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properlyhandling food and ensuring correct storage.

MAIN DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Takingdirections from supervisor and retaining information received.
• Assistingwith stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparingfood including cleaning and cutting the ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts,appetizers and snacks.
• Platingprepared foods based on senior chefs guidance
• Workingwith servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request andon time.
• Ensureall equipment is kept in excellent working condition through personal inspectionand by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs.
• Washingand cleaning the kitchen and cooking equipment at the end of work shifts.
• Fully understand and follow all regulations that pertain to health and safety.

• Knowledgeof Food and Beverage, Local and State Food Handling laws andprocedures.
• Mustbe organized and detailed oriented.
• Mustbe a strong team player with a hospitality first mindset.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to fostercooperation.
• Abilityto build strong relationships and work with a team of culinaryprofessionals

QUALIFICATIONSTANDARDS

EDUCATION

• Preference for a previous cooking experience

EXPERIENCE/LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

• Minimumof 2 years experience in a restaurant or related field an asset.
