Job description

Come work at Lorraine Lakes! We are looking for a Line Cook who wants to make great money and have fun while cooking for our guests.

Summary

The Line Cooks will assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager in preparing food for all food outlets on the property. They will also perform other related tasks related to food preparation and kitchen sanitation/cleanliness as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager. This position requires adherence to all procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements
  • Minimum education: High School (or equivalent) Diploma
  • Experience in managing and upholding a safe working condition
  • Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Must be dependable
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to take direction
Position Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for the quality of products served
  • Assists Chef/Kitchen Manager with food set-up and preparation for all food outlets
  • Follows standard recipes carefully when preparing items
  • Helps conduct monthly food and supplies inventory
  • Properly uses and maintains equipment
  • Performs sanitation and cleaning activities for food preparation and storage areas
  • Sorts, rinses, and cleans dishes, glassware, and utensils
  • Carries clean dishes to the line and storage areas
  • Changes dishwater as needed
  • Distributes food and supplies throughout the outlets
  • Cleans food production, holding, and serving equipment
  • Assists with receiving and storing products
  • Fully complies with Department of Health regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
