Job summary

Fairmount Park, Inc. is seeking a Cook to assist in meal preparation, from chopping vegetables to grilling and assembling entrees. You will follow recipes, use a variety of kitchen tools, and maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and storage areas.

The role requires 21+ and the ability to obtain a gaming license in Illinois; prior food handling certification and some experience are preferred. Base benefits and a comprehensive compensation package are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
• 6 months or more years related experience or training preferred.
• Food Handler Certified.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment that embodies a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere.
• Enthusiastically promote guest service and build long-lasting guest relations.
• Wash, chop, and cut raw foods; prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, and entrees.
• Keep freezers, walk-ins, and storage areas clean and properly rotated.
• Ensure foods are covered, labeled, initialed, and stored properly; practice safe food handling.
• Maintain kitchen workstation and casino property cleanliness; assist with Front and Heart of House duties.
