Job summary

Trustwell Living of Springfield is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to prepare meals for residents, maintain high kitchen standards, and support a team that treats each other like family.

You will read recipes, assist with meal portions, ensure food safety and rotation, stock deliveries when needed, and participate in a warm, inclusive environment that values teamwork, compassion, and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner for residents.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly and all who associate with them.

Responsibilities

• Whip up tasty meals in just the right portions: raw ingredients, hearty staples, and fresh flavors.
• Serve it up hot and on time, every time
• Keep it clean; workstations, utensils, and equipment sparkle with your touch
• Make sure food is safe, fresh, and rotated
• Help stock up and check deliveries when the Food Service Director isn't around
• Take pride in presentation and aim to impress every plate
