Job summary

Brightwater Senior Living in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our Dining Services team. The Line Cook will prepare nutritious meals, maintain high food quality, and support kitchen operations for residents and guests in a safe, sanitary environment.

The ideal candidate has two years of institutional or full-service restaurant cooking experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to follow Brightwater recipes and dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to prepare varying quantities of set recipes by converting measurements.
• Ability to arrange items or actions in a specific order as per rules.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, written and spoken.
• Meet state health requirements and hold Food Handlers permit as required.
• Maintain any certifications as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, appetizing, attractive meals for residents and guests.
• Work as part of a kitchen/dining services team to ensure safe operation.
• Receive, prepare, and serve food and beverages; restock and maintain areas.
• Observe safety and sanitation standards and guidelines.
• Attend training seminars and staff meetings.
• Review menus and follow Brightwater recipes and physician orders where applicable.
