Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Morristown, New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. You will prepare dishes from scratch, follow standardized recipes, and uphold our commitment to quality and hospitality.

You will work under the Sous Chef and Chef, handle various kitchen tasks, maintain food safety standards, and support the team with flexible shifts. We offer competitive pay and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Execute cooking techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Chef.
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Portion, chop, weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, microwaves, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Ensure food is cooked and held at proper temperatures.
• Set up and break down workstations before and after each shift.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain quality and consistency throughout food preparation.
• Assist chefs with food preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
