Pietro's in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes for restaurant guests, bringing passion for quality and consistency to every plate.

You should have prior line cook experience, be able to lift 30+ lbs, stand for long shifts, and work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age.
• Previous experience as a line cook preferred.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Ability to work standing for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, etc.
• Season and cook food according to recipes.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
