Pietro's, located in California, is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes for restaurant guests, ensuring quality and consistency while supporting a friendly, efficient work environment.

Ideal candidates bring prior line cook experience, the ability to lift 30+ lbs, and can stand for 8+ hours. We value reliability, teamwork, and a passion for great food in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a line cook is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, etc
• Season and cook food according to recipes
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
