Job summary

Dave & Buster’s in San Diego, CA is hiring a line cook to create an exceptional culinary experience for our Guests through the preparation and presentation of our menu. You will handle all food items to meet safety standards and guest expectations while working in a fast-paced, fun environment.

Applicants should be reliable, able to work flexible days and nights, and communicate clearly with teammates. Prior kitchen experience is welcome but not required; a neat appearance and strong work ethic

Qualifications

• Friendly and able to smile while working days, nights and weekends.
• Previous kitchen experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred, but not required.
• Clear verbal and written communication with team members.
• Disciplined and self-motivated with strong work ethic.
• Dressed in accordance with dress guidelines, neat and professional.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an unparalleled Guest experience through food and presentation.
• Keeps supervisor informed of problems and takes corrective action or suggests alternatives.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Operates all kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Uses chemicals properly for safety and cost control.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas.
• Prepares and cooks food to recipe and specification.
• Controls costs by following prep sheets to minimize waste.
• Assists other team members as needed.
• Maintains cooperative working relationships to maximize morale and productivity.
