Job summary

Hickory Tavern in Windy Hill Beach, SC is seeking a motivated cook to join our neighborhood kitchen, where great food and game day energy bring guests together.

You’ll prepare menu items to our recipes, maintain a clean workstation, follow safety guidelines, and work with teammates to serve timely meals.

The role requires basic cooking knowledge, English reading/writing, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while delivering quality cuisine.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
• Previous cook experience.
• Stands/walks 6 to 8 hours per shift.
• Reaches, lifts and bends, frequently.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
