Sports & Social Cary is a one-of-a-kind sports bar and social lounge located in downtown Cary, NC. The Cook role involves preparing and cooking orders, minimizing waste, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness to meet health standards.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of fast-paced kitchen experience, basic math skills, and a culinary certification is preferred. You may work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed in a dynamic venue with guest interactions.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience cooking on a fast paced kitchen line.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and presentation standards.
• Basic math for portions and quantities.
• Communication with kitchen staff and supervisors is essential.
• Food safety practices and clean, sanitary habits.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving and inventory.
• Restock items as needed during the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness meeting Health Board standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized (reach-ins, walk-ins, counters).
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist as ware washer or other kitchen duties.
• Promote teamwork and service quality; interact with guests when needed.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
