Job summary

The Sports & Social Club Louisville is seeking an experienced Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare and cook orders for daily operations, monitor portion control, and maintain cleanliness according to health standards.

Teamwork, reliability, and punctuality are essential as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays. One year of cooking in a fast-paced environment and basic knowledge of recipes and presentation are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience cooking on a fast-paced kitchen line.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking, recipes, portion control and presentation.
• Good communication with cooks, wait staff and supervisors.
• Reading/writing needed for recipes, scheduling and inventory.
• Basic math for quantities and variances; alcohol/food safety certs as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items and assist in receiving and inventory.
• Restock items as needed and maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
