True Food Kitchen in Palo Alto is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll prep, cook, and plate across stations like Pantry, Pastry, Pizza, Wok, Sauté, or Grill, with opportunities to work across multiple stations.

The role emphasizes consistency, quality, and teamwork in a highly energetic environment. Shifts include AM/PM and mid-day options; part-time to 40 hours per person are available.

Qualifications

• 6+ months in a high-volume restaurant.
• Excellent knife skills and ability to execute recipes.
• Passion for great food and presentation.
• Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork, speed, and organization under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare starters, entrées, pizzas, and more
• Follow portions, recipes, and quality standards
• Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized
• Assist with prep, opening/closing, and smooth operations
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills and other kitchen equipment
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients
• Wash and disinfect kitchen, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
