Cantaloupe Monterrey is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team in Baton Rouge. You will prepare dishes, follow recipes, and ensure food is cooked to perfection.

The role requires experience in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of food safety regulations, and the ability to work well with others. Weekend and holiday availability is a plus; tips are provided on top of hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station throughout shifts.
• Monitor food stock and communicate with kitchen management regarding inventory needs.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage according to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
• Contribute to the maintenance of kitchen equipment by performing routine cleaning and basic upkeep.
