Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Minimum one year of experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to read recipes, follow measurements, and maintain cleanliness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team and supervision.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Learn the facility’s room outlets and answer general questions about the property.
• Read food orders and prepare items according to established menu plans.
• Prepare all food items to standard recipes and ensure consistency.
• Wash, slice, peel, and cut ingredients for cooking or serving.
• Monitor food for doneness using tasting, smell, or utensils; maintain safety and quality.
• Adhere to health department regulations regarding handling, storage, and temperatures.
• Coordinate with dining room staff and communicate orders.
• Prepare items accurately and in a timely manner; complete prep items as listed.
• Maintain sanitation and operate equipment safely; attend trainings and follow SOPs.
• Support opening/closing duties and other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
