Job summary

Portillo’s is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve its classic menu items in a fast-paced kitchen near Fort Worth, Texas. The Cook will maintain quality, sanitation and a clean station while collaborating with teammates to meet guest demand.

Responsibilities include preparing Italian Beef, burgers, hot dogs, fries and other entrees, following recipes, maintaining portion control, and adhering to food-safety protocols. Base pay starts at $15.50/hour with overtime and holiday premiums.

Qualifications

• Must have worked at Portillo’s for at least 1 year with an average of 20 hours over a 6-month period.
• Military veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all classic menu items to order, including Italian Beef, burgers, hot dogs, fries and other entrees.
• Prepare fresh vegetables, sauces and other ingredients according to provided recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain a spotless workstation and adhere to sanitation and food safety protocols.
• Work as a team player to help and serve guests and fellow team members.
• Handle high-volume periods with a sense of urgency, keeping lines moving efficiently.
• Maintain portion control and monitor food levels throughout the shift.
