Job summary

Levity Live, LLC is seeking experienced Line Cooks to join the Pittsburgh Improv kitchen. The role focuses on cooking with passion, following recipes, and maintaining A-rated sanitary standards in a fast-paced club environment.

Responsibilities include equipment inspection, proper food storage and temperatures, and partnering with the Kitchen Manager to manage 86s and inventory while keeping the kitchen efficient and clean.

Qualifications

• Thrive in fast-paced environments with a focus on teamwork.
• Ability to work flexible hours, especially nights and weekends.
• High school diploma, culinary degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in restaurants or clubs
• ServSafe Food Handler Card ensuring compliance with county/state requirements.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Working knowledge of equipment and utensils.
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand or walk for an eight-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Have passion for the craft of cooking.
• Inspect and clean kitchen equipment, surfaces, and service areas for quality and sanitation.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures.
• Follow recipes and production standards to ensure quality.
• Share ideas to improve kitchen efficiency.
• Assemble and complete final production of hot and cold items.
• Communicate with Kitchen Manager when items are unavailable (86s).
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, refrigerators, and areas as designated.
