Hometown Coffee & Juice in Lake Forest, IL is hiring a Line Cook. You will prepare menu items per Hometown recipes with speed and care while keeping your station organized and ready for service.

Work with the kitchen team to manage ticket flow, maintain food quality, and support a smooth operation. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to stay focused during busy periods.

Formación

• One to two years of experience in a busy kitchen is preferred; training available for the right candidate.
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• ServSafe certification is preferred or can be obtained upon hiring.

Responsabilidades

• Own Your Station: Prepare food per recipes and standards; manage ticket flow; keep station clean and stocked; rotate stations as needed.
• Deliver Quality & Consistency: Follow recipes and portion standards; ensure proper presentation; communicate quality or operational concerns.
• Follow Food Safety Standards: Adhere to safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, FIFO; maintain a clean, safe kitchen; handle equipment properly.
• Support the Team: Collaborate with teammates and leadership; communicate clearly during prep and service; assist during busy periods; foster a positive environment.
• Practice Ownership: Follow portion controls; minimize waste; communicate inventory or prep needs to leadership.
