Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Massachusetts is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare dishes per Tatte recipes, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety across shifts.

This role requires collaboration, attention to detail, and pride in every dish you help create. Responsibilities include executing techniques under the chefs, operating kitchen equipment, portioning ingredients, and supporting a fast-paced environment with flexible weekend/holiday hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities

• Execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
• Ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
• Set up and break down workstations and prepare for upcoming shifts
• Wash and disinfect kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Assist chefs in preparing food and supporting additional culinary tasks as needed
• Other related assignments as necessary
