Job summary

Life Alive Café in Boston, MA is seeking a Back of House Team Member to join our vibrant kitchen. You will help maintain cleanliness, stock inventory, and support cooks to ensure fast, high-quality meals for guests. A strong focus on guest service and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients and recipes, coordinating with BOH and managers, and helping achieve quick ticket times while upholding Life Alive's values and mission.

Qualifications

• Must have engaging communication with guests and team members.
• Strong knowledge of Life Alive's menu offerings and ingredients.
• Able to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced kitchen team.
• Excellent guest service focus and positive attitude.
• Able to stand and work for 8+ hours, with repeated reaching and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
• Stock kitchen inventory as needed.
• Achieve a ticket time goal of 6 minutes or less.
• Ensure high-quality ingredients and standard food preparation.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables or preparing sauces).
• Prepare recipes according to standard procedures.
• Stock and prepare stations for service.
• Communicate product needs to back-of-house and managers-on-duty.
• Ensure consistent food quality and safety standards.
