Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Line Cook in Providence, RI for a full-time position. You will prepare a variety of hot and cold items, follow standards for quality, safety and presentation, and help maintain a clean kitchen workstation. The role involves fast-paced environments and requires reliable attendance.

You will work mornings and afternoons with some weekends/holidays, and receive a competitive pay range. Training and benefits are provided according to Sodexo policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow recipes and directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan supplies.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
