Job summary

Ponte Vineyard Inn in Temecula, CA is seeking a Cook II/Line Cook for a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Responsible for prep, pizza and broiler work, and delivering high-quality dishes with attention to waste and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and care.
• Knife skills and cooking terms essential.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Riverside County Food Handler’s Card required.
• Weekend and holidays availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes and restaurant specifications quickly and efficiently.
• Prep and make pizzas to order, manage waste and maintain high efficiency.
• Butcher meat, poultry and seafood per spec with attention to waste.
• Work at the Broiler and Pizza stations.
• Prepare soups, sauces and specials exceeding guest expectations.
• Suggest and create new menu items that delight guests.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and comply with safety/sanitation procedures.
• Check deliveries for food quality and accuracy.
